 
The Valentine Richmond History Center launched Richmond History Makers in 2005 to annually recognize, honor, and celebrate those everyday citizens and outstanding organizations that are making significant contributions to the greater Richmond region.
Public nominations will are accepted each May/June for those who are benefiting our community by mentoring best practices, leading successful initiatives and contributing positively through innovative methods. Nominees should be selected based upon distinction in one of the following categories:
